Mitos

Keti Anastasaki, along with her co-workers and two daughters find inspiration and creativity in her workshop/showroom OPTO in Marousi, Athens. The harmonious interchange and chemistry between them are reflected in their “work” making it unique and “recognizable”.

Born in Chania Crete, she grew up in Toronto Canada. There she studied Applied Arts and attended ceramics courses at George Brown College, 3 Schools and Little Group Studio. She started professionally in Chania but in the process, she was won by the challenges of Athens.

OPTO means “placing something in the fire” – together with earth, water and air, are the basis of every piece that will be in your hands. Through experimentation and games, realistic and imaginative forms emerge, with movement, humor, sensuality and influences from the past.

With simple tools, experienced hands and modern means, we give our own identity to the primordial art of Ceramics. Our raw material is stoneware clays and porcelain – material fired at high temperatures resulting in excellent quality resistant to time wear.
